AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF CERTAIN PERSONAL
PROPERTY - 1965 INTERNATIONAL SEMI-TRACTOR
WHEREAS, three-fourths (3/14) of the corporate authorities of the Village of
Oak Brook presently holding office have determined that it is no longer necessary
or useful or in the best interest of the Village of Oak Brook to retain ownership
of certain personal property described as a 1965 International Semi-Tractor,
Model 185; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Chapter 24, Section 11-76-4 of the Illinois Revised
Statutes, the corporate authorities have advertised for bids for the sale of such
personal property, said advertisement appearing in the Oak Brook Doings on
February 9, 1984; and
WHEREAS, sealed bids have been duly received and opened on March 7, 1984;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, as follows:
Section 1: That the bid of City International Trucks, Inc. , 4655 South
Central Avenue, Chicago, Illinois, 60638 in the amount of $1,010.00 for the
property hereinabove described be and is hereby accepted.
Section 2: That the Village Manager is hereby authorized and directed to
transfer said property as described in the preamble hereof for the accepted
purchase price and to execute any required documentation to effect the transfer
of ownership of said property to City International Trucks, Inc.
Section 3: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and approval as provided by law.
