AN ORDINANCE APPOINTING A VILLAGE TREASURER
WHEREAS, the Village President and Board of Trustees have heretofore
adopted ordinances relating to the office of Village Treasurer codified as
Division 5 of Article III of Chapter 2 of the Code of Ordinances of the Village
of Oak Brook; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Ordinance G-253, the Village Board has made
explicit findings that the Office of Village Treasurer requires extensive
technical training and knowledge in accounting methods, budget preparation and
investment management; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Ordinance S-530, the Village Board previously
appointed John H. Brechin as Acting Village Treasurer and Financial Officer; and
WHEREAS, the Village President and Board of Trustees desire to make the
present Village Finance Officer the Village Treasurer;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS as follows:
Section 1: That Ordinance S-530 be and is hereby repealed.
Section 2: That Terry C. Klein be and is hereby appointed Village
Treasurer.
Section 3: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect as of
September 8, 1987, the date of appointment of Terry C. Klein as Village
Treasurer.
