AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF CERTAIN PERSONAL PROPERTY
OWNED BY THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, in the opinion of at least three-fourths of the corporate
authorities of the Village of Oak Brook, it is no longer necessary or useful
to, or for the best interest of the Village of Oak Brook to retain the
following described personal property:
(1) 1966 IH Sutphen 85 Foot Aerial Platform Truck and appurtenant
equipment
now owned by it; and
WHEREAS, competitive bids for said property have been received; and
WHEREAS, the high bid of Community Fire Co. , Inc. , North Grosvenordale,
Connecticut offers to purchase that personal property for the sum of
Eighty-five thousand, eighty-one Dollars ($85,081);
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS as follows:
Section 1: That the provisions of the preamble hereinabove set forth are
hereby adopted as though fully set forth herein.
Section 2: Pursuant to Section 11-76-4 of Chapter 24 of the Illinois
Revised Statutes, the Village Manager be and is hereby authorized and directed
to sell the said 1966 IH Sutphen 85 Foot Aerial Platform Truck and appurtenant
equipment now owned by the Village of Oak Brook to the Community Fire Co. ,
Inc. , North Grosvenordale, Connecticut for the sum of Eighty-five thousand,
eighty-one Dollars ($85,081);
Section 3: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after passage and approval as provided by law.
