AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF CERTAIN
PERSONAL PROPERTY OWNED BY
THE VILLAGE OF OAK. BROOK
WHEREAS, in the opinion of at least three fourths of the corporate
authorities of the Village of Oak Brook, it is no longer necessary or useful
to or in the best interests of the Village of Oak Brook to retain the
following described personal property: Basic IV computer equipment and Royal
145R copier, now owned by the Village; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Oak Brook wishes to invite bids for the purchase
of said personal property;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS as follows:
Section 1: Pursuant to Section 11-76-4 of the Illinois Municipal Code,
Ill.Rev.Stat. , Chapter 24, Section 11-76-4, the corporate authorities find
that the following described personal property: Basic IV computer equipment
and Royal 145R copier, now owned by the Village of Oak Brook is no longer
necessary or useful to the Village of Oak Brook and the best interests of the
Village of Oak Brook will be served by its sale.
Section 2: Pursuant to said Section 11-76-4, the Village Manager be and
he is hereby authorized and directed to solicit bids pursuant to the attached
Invitation to Bid.
Section 3: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage, by at least three fourths of all the corporate
authorities, and approval in the manner provided by law.

INVITATION TO BID
The Village of Oak Brook will be accepting Sealed Bids on the sale of the
following equipment: 1) Basic IV Computer Equipment - 1 mini-computer system,
model #610 with 2 75MB disk drives; 4 portable tF=rminals; 1 DATA WORD word
processing terminal with daisy wheel printer, model 4202; 1 whisper printer,
model 4213, 120 characters per second; 1 software, 32 KB for use with word
processing/computer. 2) Royal 145R Copier - 20 bin sorter, large capacity (1500
sheets) tray, paper cassettes 8.5 x 14 & 11 x 17 (250 sheets ea.), Automatic
Document Feeder, Reduction Feature 77% & 65%, 115 volt electrical required. NO
enlargement, duplexing, or stapling capabilities. Copier purchased in 11/84 -
used through 12/90 (1,800,000 copies) .
This equipment will be sold "AS IS" and can be inspected at the Village of
Oak Brook by "Appointment Only". Please contact Assistant to Village Manager
Bruce Rapff at (708) 990-3000 Monday thru Friday 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
All Sealed Bids will be received in the Village Manager's Office of the
Village of Oak Brook located at 1200 Oak Brook Road, Oak Brook, Illinois 60521
by 10:00 a.m. Monday, February 17, 1992. The Village of Oak Brook reserves the
right to accept or reject Any and All Bids.
