S-752 - 04/27/1993 - PERSONAL PROPERTY - Ordinances ORDINANCE S- 752 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF CERTAIN PERSONAL PROPERTY OWNED BY THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK WHEREAS, in the opinion of at least three fourths of the corporate authorities of the Village of Oak Brook, it is no longer necessary or useful to or in the best interests of the Village of Oak Brook to retain the Oak Brook Library's collection of 33-1/3 rpm recordings now owned by it as these recording are generally obsolete and the space which they occupy is needed for other library materials; and WHEREAS, a reasonable sale price would be $1 per record or such lesser price as determined by the Village Librarian to dispose of said collection. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS as follows: Section 1: Pursuant to Chapter 24, Section 11-76-4 of the Illinois Municipal Code, I1l.Rev.Stat. , c.24, Section 11-76-4, the corporate authorities find that the aforesaid personal property now owned by the Village of Oak Brook is no longer necessary or useful to the Village of Oak Brook and the best interests of the Village of Oak Brook will be served by its sale. Section 2: Pursuant to said Section 11-76-4 of the Illinois Municipal Code, the Village Librarian be and she is hereby authorized and directed to sell the aforesaid personal property, now owned by the Village of Oak Brook, for the sum of $1 per record or such lesser price as determined by the Village Librarian to dispose of said collection. Section 3: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, by at least three fourths of all the corporate authorities, and approval in the manner provided by law.
