S-762 - 10/12/1993 - PERSONAL PROPERTY - Ordinances s ORDINANCE 93-PP-S-762 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF CERTAIN PERSONAL PROPERTY OWNED BY THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK WHEREAS, in the opinion of at least three fourths of the corporate authorities of the Village of Oak Brook, it is no longer necessary or useful to or in the best interests of the Village of Oak Brook to retain the personal property described on the foregoing attachment entitled "Invitation to Bid" now owned by the Village; and WHEREAS, the Village of Oak Brook wishes to invite bids for the purchase of said personal property; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS as follows: Section 1: Pursuant to Section 11-76-4 of the Illinois Municipal Code, Ill.Rev.Stat. , Chapter 24, Section 11-76-4, the corporate authorities find that the personal property described on the foregoing attachment is no longer necessary or useful to the Village of Oak Brook and the best interests of the Village of Oak Brook will be served by its sale. Section 2: Pursuant to said Section 11-76-4, the Village Manager be and she is hereby authorized and directed to solicit bids pursuant to the attached Invitation to Bid and if no bids are received for any items of personal property, to dispose of these items. Section 3: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, by at least three fourths of all the corporate authorities, and approval in the manner provided by law.
