AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING REQUESTS FOR PROPOSALS/BIDS FOR THE PURCHASE OF
ITEMS OF PERSONAL PROPERTY OWNED BY
THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK
WHEREAS, in the opinion of the corporate authorities of the Village of
Oak Brook, it is no longer necessary or useful to or for the best interests of
the Village of Oak Brook to retain the personal property owned by it as
described on the attached Exhibit A.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS as follows:
Section 1: Pursuant to Section 11-76-4 of the Illinois Municipal Code,
65 ILCS 5/11-76-4, the corporate authorities find that the aforesaid items now
owned by the Village of Oak Brook are no longer necessary or useful to the
Village of Oak Brook and the best interest of the Village of Oak Brook will be
served by their sale.
Section 2: Pursuant to said Section 11-76-4, the Purchasing Director be
and he is hereby authorized and directed to seek proposals/bids for the
purchase of the aforesaid items, and if none are received, to dispose of these
items. Any offer to purchase these items shall be brought to the Village
Board for its consideration.
Section 3: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage and approval in the manner provided by law.
