AN ORDINANCE TRANSFERRING A PORTION OF YORK ROAD
TO THE MUNICIPAL STREET SYSTEM
OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK
WHEREAS, the Village of Oak Brook and the State of Illinois, under date
of May 14, 1996, entered into an agreement for transfer of jurisdiction of a
portion of York Road to the municipal street system; and
WHEREAS, the Village Board of Trustees finds that this transfer of
jurisdiction is in the best interests of the Village,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS as follows:
Section 1: That the provisions of the preamble hereinabove set forth
are hereby adopted as though fully set forth herein.
Section 2: That the improvement of York Road from 2,278 feet south of
the center line of 22nd Street to the south abutment of the Tollway Bridge,
within the Village of Oak Brook's corporate limits, be added to the municipal
street system of the Village of Oak Brook.
Section 3: That the Village Clerk is authorized and directed to forward
a certified copy of this ordinance to the State of Illinois through its
District Engineer's Office at 201 West Center Court, Schaumburg, IL.
Section 4: That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after passage and approval pursuant to law.
