RESOLUTION 4t*_
RESOLUTION URGING THE CONGRESS OF THE UNITED
STATES TO CONTINUE THE REVENUE SHARING PROGRAM
UNDER THE STATE AND LOCAL FISCAL ASSISTANCE ACT
WHEREAS, the Village of Oak Brook has an obligation to
its citizens to provide services for the health and well -being
of its residents, and,
WHEREAS, the Village of Oak Brook is experiencing in-
creased growth and development within its corporate boundaries
demanding increased service, and,
WHEREAS, the Corporate Authorities of the Village of
Oak Brook are concerned about not increasing the burden of taxation
on its residents, while maintaining a high level of service, and,
WHEREAS, the Federal Revenue Sharing Program is providing
the additional revenues from the Federal Government out of current
tax efforts to supplement the tax effort within the Village of
Oak Brook.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE BOARD OF -
4 OAR BROOK that the State and Local Fiscal Assistance Act be
continued and that no restrictions and modifications to the current
legislation be made, which might otherwise cause. additional tax
burdens on the residents of the Village of Oak Brook and /or a
reduction of the effectiveness or number of the services provided
by the Village.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the Village Clerk forward
copies of the resolution to the Congress of the United States and
its local representatives within that body, the DuPage County Board,
and all municipalities in DuPage County.
Passed and approved by the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Oak Brook this 9$:9 day o ,1975.
