SUBJECT: Amendment to 1991 Employee Pay Plan
RECOMMENDATION: That the Village President and Board of Trustees approve j
Amendments to the 1991 Employee Pay Plan
This is simply a housekeeping change. The attached Resolution amends
Resolution R-517 to provided for the inclusion of Public Works Journeyman,
Salary Grade 5, in the Public Works Department. As you are aware, Mike
Meranda and I have suggested. that one of our Mechanic positions (Doug Patchin)
be changed to that of Public Works Journeyman with responsibilities for
various +dministrative and manual work involved in the Public Works Department
and associated divisions of the Water, Street, and Vehicle Maintenance
activities, including part-time mechanical duties. There is no salar. change;
we are only adjusting or realigning the duties of this position.

The Resolution also correctly places the position of Director of Code
Enforcement in the Inspection Bureau rather than the Fire Department where it
was inadvertently placed. Therefore, we recommend the attached Resolution be
approved to implement said housekeeping changes.

CODE OF ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, ILLINOIS: .
Trustee Bartecki moved, seconded by Trustee Rush to pass Ordinance
No. G-464 as presented and waive the full reading thereof. Roll
Call Vote:
Ayes: 6-Trustees Bartecki, Bushy, Maher, Rush, Winters and
President Cerne
Nays: O-None
Absent: 1-Trustee Payovich

G. RESOLUTION NO. R-526 A RESOLUTION APPROVING AMENDMENTS TO THE
EMPLOYEE PAY PLAN:
The proposed resolution amends Resolution R-517 to provide for the
inclusion of Public Works Journeyman, Salary Grade 5, in the
Public Works Department and correctly places the position of
Director of Code Enforcement in the Inspection Bureau rather than
the Fire Department where it was inadvertently placed.
Trustee Rush moved, seconded by Trustee Winters to pass Resolution
No. R-526 as presented and waive the full reading thereof. Roll

H. RESOLUTION NO. R-527 A RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR THE ADDITION OF
ROOSEVELT ROAD SOUTH FRONTAGE ROAD FROM SALT CREEK TO YORK ROAD TO
THE MUNICIPAL STREET SYSTEM OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE
COUNTY, ILLINOIS•
Trustee Rush moved, seconded by Trustee Bushy to approve an
amended Intergovernmental Agreement between the Illinois
Department of Transportation and the Village of Oak Brook
concerning a jurisdictional transfer of the south Frontage Road of
Roosevelt Road between Salt Creek and York Road and approve
Resolution No. R-527 as presented. This includes the continuation
cf the State replacing the fence. Roll Call Vote:
Ayes: 6-Trustees Bartecki, Bushy, Maher, Rush, Winters and
President Cerne
Nays: 0-None
Absent: 1-Trustee Payovich
