R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, WALTER C. IMRIE, has faithfully and with dedication
and distinction served the Village of Oak Brook in his capacity
as a member of the Library Commission from March, 1990 through
January, 1992; and
WHEREAS, the said WALTER C. IMRIE, has faithfully and with
dedication and distinction also served the Village of Oak Brook
in his capacity as a member of the Board of Trustees from May,
1980 through April, 1989 and as a member of the Zoning Board of
Appeals from October, 1979 to May, 1980 and as a member of the
Board of Fire and Police Commissioners from September, 1974 to
November, 1979; and
WHEREAS, the said WALTER C. IMRIE, has also served the
community in many other ways including as a member of the Oak
Brook Community Caucus and continues to serve as a member of the
DuPage County Solid Waste Committee; and
WHEREAS, during the unselfish and dedicated rendering of
said service, WALTER C. IMRIE has given unselfishly of his time,
effort and expertise, contributing materially thereby to the
progress and well-being of the said Village and its citizens; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees are of the
opinion that a record of such faithful service should be made and
spread upon the records of said Village;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook that the said WALTER C. IMRIE
be and he hereby is commended for his faithful service to the
Village of Oak Brook and the citizens thereof.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook, for and on behalf of said
Village and its citizens, do hereby extend their appreciation and
gratitude to the said WALTER C. IMRIE for his many civic services
as aforedescribed.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a duly certified copy of this
Resolution be delivered to the said WALTER C. IMRIE and that this
Resolution be spread upon the official permanent records of said
Village.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED by the President and Board of Trustees of
the Village of Oak Brook, DuPage and Cook Counties, Illinois, this
28th day of January, 1992 .
