RESOLUTION 2005 - DUMM -LP -R -894
A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE 2005 LEGISLATIVE POSITIONS
OF THE DU PAGE MAYORS AND MANAGERS CONFERENCE
WHEREAS, the DuPage Mayors and Managers Conference (the Conference) is a consortium of
35 member municipalities in DuPage County which is dedicated to addressing municipal policy issues,
and
WHEREAS, as part of its mission, the Conference proposes and reviews legislation in the Illinois
General Assembly and recommends positions on these proposals to its member municipalities, a d
WHEREAS, the Village wishes to formally adopt the positions of the Conference on legislative
proposals made during the Spring 2005 session of the Illinois General Assembly and as expressed by the
Conference in its 2005 Legislative Action Program, except as otherwise determined by the Village, and
WHEREAS, the Village encourages its municipal employees, particularly its department heads, to
become familiar with these positions
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS as follows
Section 1 The provisions of the preamble hereinabove set forth are hereby adopted as though
fully set forth herein
Section 2 The positions advanced by the DuPage Mayors and Managers Conference on legislative
proposals' in the Illinois General Assembly for the Spring 2005 Session and as expressed by the
Conference in its 2005 Legislative Action Program are hereby adopted
Section 3 A copy of this Resolution be forwarded to area legislators
Section 4 The Village Board may, at any time, upon the concurring vote of four trustees, move to
take exception with any position of the Conference on any matter

Section 5 This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval
as provided by law
