RECOMMENDATION: That the President and'. Board of Trustees approve the
attached "Resolution for Maintenance of Streets and r;
Highways By Municipality 'Under the Illinois Highway
Code" for 1993..
The attached "Resolution for Maintenance of Streets and Highways by
Municipality Under the Illinois Highway Code" and "Municipal Estimate of
Maintenance Costs" are documents required by IDOT for MFT funding. The
resolution appropriates the sum of 9157,000.00 for calendar year 1993 for
those items as listed within the Estimate sheet. These funds are also
utilized within the FY- 92/93 and FY 93 Budgets.
This item is being placed on the Board agenda for March 23 1993 for your
consideration.

Bell and Ameritech due to employment on a contract basis by same.

The "Resolution for Maintenance of Streets and Highways Highway y
Municipality Under the Illinois g Y Code" and "Municipal i,
Estimate of Maintenance Costs" are documents required by the
Illinois Department of Transportation for MFT funding. The
resolution appropriates the sure of $157,000.00 for calendar year
1993.
Trustee Payovich moved to pass Resolution No. R-580 as presented
and waive the full reading thereof. Seconded by Trustee Skinner.

Ayes: 4-Trustees Mayer, Payovich, Skinner and Winters.
Nays: O-None.
Absent: 2-Trustees Bartecki and Shumate. Motion carried.
B. ORDINANCE NO. G-505 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2-25 OF THE OlUn. G-•505
CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE VILLAGE OF OAR BROOK (Compensation for FOR COITENSATION
Board of Trustees): '
State statute requires the Village to specify "whether trustees
are to be compensated at an annual rate or for each meeting of the
Board of Trustees actually attended by each trustee". To Comply
with the statute, the proposed ordinance amends Section 2-25 of
the Village Code which deletes the limitation on the number of
meetings per week and the payment for up to two absences per year.
The amendment will not take effect until the Spring of 1995.
President Bushy noted the Board is currently not compensated for
Committee-of-the-Whole meetings. Trustees are compensated $25.00
per Board meeting. President Bushy is compensated $2,500.00
annually which includes her compensation as Liquor Commissioner.
Trustee Skinner moved to pass Ordinance No. G-505 as presented and
waive the full reading thereof. Seconded by Trustee Winters.

Ayess 4-Trustees Mayer, Payovich, Skinner and Winters.
Nays: 0-None.
Absent: 2-Trustees Bartecki and Shumate. Motion carried.

on March 23, 1993 appropriating $157,000.00 of motor fuel tax

January 1 , 1993, to December 31 , 1993, was approved by this

Department on March 29, 1993.
! The detailed estimate of maintenance cost in the amount of
f: $157,000.00 for municipal streets was also approved by this
! Department on March 29, 1993 and your file copies are being
returned herewith and to Dale Durfey, Village Engineer.
Expenditure .of the full amount of the approved estimate
k $157,000.00 from your unobligated motor fuel tax account is
hereby authorized and will be recorded on your next monthly
Allotment Notification Letter.
It is noted that crack filling is estimated to cost in excess
of $10,000.00. This-' must be accomplished by.competitive
bidding. The contract proposals must be submitted to this
office for approval prior to advertising for bids.
