RESOLUTION 94-CB-RR-R-612
A RESOLOTIon APPROVING RATE
FOR THE BASIC SERVICE TIER
FOR CABLR TELEVISION SUBSCRIBERS
WITHIN THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK
WHEREAS, the Village of Oak Brook has been certified by the Federal
Communications commission (FCC) to regulate the rates for the basic service
tier for cable television subscribers within the Village of Oak Brook; and
WHEREAS, on November 23, 1993, the corporate authorities for the Village
of Oak Brook passed and approved An Ordinance Prescribing Regulations For
Pates Charged To Cable Television Subscribers For The Basic Service Tier,
being Ordinance 93-CB-RR-S-764= and
WHEREAS, the Village is in receipt of FCC Form 393 entitled, "A Request
For Cable Rate Approval" from Continental Cablevision of Cook County, Inc., a
franchisee in the Village of Oak Brook; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to notice, the Village Board held a public hearing on
January 11, 1994, at which interested persons could express their views on the
cable operator's proposed rate for the basic service tier and associated
equipment; and
WHEREAS, no person objected in person or by letter to the basic service
tier rate proposed by Continental Cablevision of Cook county, Inc.; and
WHEREAS, the Village Board has reviewed the materials furnished by
Continental Cablevision of Cook County, Inc. in support of its proposed
initial rate for the basic service tier; and
WHEREAS, the Village Board has reviewed the proposed rate using the
benchmark analysis in accordance with the standard form utilized by the FCC.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS as follows:
Section 1: That the provisions of the preamble hereinabove set forth
are hereby adopted as though fully set forth herein.
Section 2: That the corporate authorities find and determine that
Continental Cablevision of Cook County, Inc. 's initial rate request for basic
cable service is within the Federal Communication Commission's reasonable rate
standard.
Section 3: That the basic service tier rate of $8.85 per month as
proposed by Continental Cablevision of Cook County, Illinois, pursuant to FCC
Form 393, is hereby approved.

Section 4: This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and approval pursuant to law.
PASSED AND APPROVED this _ 11th day of _ January _, 1994, by the
President and Board of Trustees of the village of Oak Brook, DuPage and Cook
Counties, Illinois, according to a roll call vote as ,follows:
Ayes: Trustees Denny, Payovich, Shumate and Skinner
