RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION
WHEREAS, DARRELL J. LANGLOIS has been employed with the Village of Oak Brook as
Finance Director/Treasurer, Treasurer for the Oak Brook Police Pension Fund and Treasurer/Trustee for
the Oak Brook Firefighters Pension Fund, from October, 1993 through March, 2009; and
WHEREAS, DARRELL J. LANGLOIS has consistently displayed the highest degree of integrity
and professionalism and as Village Finance Director/Treasurer received awards of Achievement for
Excellence in Financial Reporting and Distinguished Budget Presentation; and
WHEREAS, during the dedicated rendering of said service DARRELL J. LANGLOIS has
tirelessly implemented improvements within the Village, including, but not limited to, the establishment of
Management by Objectives and Five Year Planning, which benefited the residents and staff of the Village
of Oak Brook; and
WHEREAS, during his tenure with the Village, DARRELL J. LANGLOIS was instrumental in the
Village expansion project wherein four buildings were added with minimal long -term debt, as well as
administering the first Tax Increment Financing District project; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees are of the opinion that a record of such faithful
service should be made and spread upon the records of said Village.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of
Oak Brook on behalf of all the Village employees and all the Village residents, that they do hereby extend
their sincerest thanks and gratitude to DARRELL J. LANGLOIS for his many years of indefatigable and
loyal service as well as for the example which he set for all those who came in contact with him.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution be presented to DARRELL J. LANGLOIS with
best wishes for continued success in his future endeavors.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a duly certified copy of this Resolution be delivered to the said
DARRELL J. LANGLOIS and that this Resolution be spread upon the official permanent records of said
Village.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak
Brook, DuPage and Cook Counties, Illinois, this 10th day of March, 2009.
