RESOLUTION 2002- MMC- LP -R-804
A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE
2002 METROPOLITAN MAYORS CAUCUS
LEGISLATIVE PRIORITIES
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Mayors Caucus (the Caucus) is a consortium of more than 250 mayors in
the Chicago metropolitan region which is dedicated to addressing municipal policy issues; and
WHEREAS, the Caucus has articulated certain policy and legislative positions in its 2002 Legislative
Priorities; and
WHEREAS, the Village wishes to formally adopt the positions of the Caucus on legislative proposals
made during the Spring 2002 session of the Illinois General Assembly and the current session of the Congress
of the United States and as expressed by the Caucus in its 2002 Legislative Priorities, except as otherwise
determined by the Village; and
WHEREAS, the Village encourages its municipal employees, particularly its department heads, to
become familiar with these positions.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS as follows:
Section 1: That the provisions of the preamble hereinabove set forth are hereby adopted as though fully
set forth herein.
Section 2: That the positions advanced by the Metropolitan Mayors Caucus on legislative proposals in the
Illinois General Assembly for the Spring 2002 Session of the Illinois General Assembly and the current session of
the Congress of the United States and as expressed by the Caucus in its 2002 Legislative Priorities are hereby
adopted.
Section 3: That the Village Board may, at any time, upon the concurring vote of four trustees,' move to
take exception with any position of the Conference on any matter.
Section 4: This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval as
provided by law.

Village of Oak Brook, DuPage and Cook Counties, Illinois, according to a roll call vote as follows:
