A RESOLUTION CONCURRING IN THE AWARD OF A CONTRACT

FOR THE INPROVEIU:NT OF 16th STREET AND SPRING ROAD
WHEREAS, the Village of Oak Brook has entered into
agreemment with the Illinois Department of Transportation and the
Federal Highway Administration for the improvement of Spring Road
from 22nd Street to 16th Street and 16th Street from Sprang Road
to Route 83; and
WHEREAS, the Illinois Department of Transportation
received bids on April 3, 1979 for the construction of said im-
provements; and
WHEREAS, acceptable bids have been received from
more than two (2) construction companies; and
WHEREAS, said bids compare favorably with the
engineer's estimate;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND
BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK
COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, as follows:
Section 1: That the contract for the subject
improvement be aw—d to the low bidder, K -Five Construction
Company, Chicago, Illinois, in the amount of $1,183,672.75.
Section 2: That the contractor be notified of
the award at t'"hFF—e—arlTest possible time to expedite execution
of the contract and commencement of construction.
Section 3: That all resolutions, rules, and
regulations oi+t1TePiSlage of Oak Brook which are in conflict
with the provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed to
the extent of such conflict.
Passed and approved this 10th day of April
1979 by the President and Board of Trustees of the Vil V017
Oak Brook, Du Page and Cook Counties, Illinois according to a
roll call vote as follows:
Ayes: Trustees Brown, Glaves, Philip, Reynolds, and Rush
Ways: None
Absent: Trustee Cerne
