AGREEMENT TO PARTICIPATE IN THE
i
DU PAGE COUNTY ON-SITE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the protection of life and property, preservation of
functioning civil government, and development of disaster recovery strategies
is a fundamental responsibility of government; and
WHEREAS, the development of capabilities to prepare for, respond to, and
recover from the effects of major emergencies and disasters is a joint
responsibility of the federal, state, county, and municipal government; and
WHEREAS, the federal and state governments have developed standards that
guide the development and maintenance of local emergency preparedness
capabilities; and
WHEREAS, the DuPage County Office of Emergency Management has developed
a program, entitled the "On-Site Assistance Program" designed to increase the
capability of local government to meet these federal and state standards;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS do hereby agree
to participate with the DuPage County Office of Emergency Management in the
On-Site Assistance Program during the period beginning March 1, 1995 and
ending May 31, 1996; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Village of Oak Brook acknowledges that
successful completion of the program will require the commitment of personnel,
equipment, and funding support throughout the period of the program, and by
the passage of this resolution, agrees to provide the support described in the
On-Site Assistance Guide, Program Requirements section; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that an official copy of this resolution will be
forwarded to the DuPage County Office of Emergency Management.
PASSED AND APPROVED this 28th day of February, 1995 by the President
and Board of Trustees of the village of Oak Brook, DuPage and cook Counties,
Illinois, according to a roll call vote as follows:
