R-120 - 04/27/1971 - ELECTION - ResolutionsJSTmk 42271 Reg4LTS CANVASSING RESOLUTION 061. 1I Re!�oai CPU 40444TWry Whereas, there was submitted to the electorate of the Village Co. of Oak Brook, DuPage County, Illinois, on the 20th day of April, 1971, at a special election held in conjunction with the regular election for said Village the question of whether or not the Village of Oak Brook shall issue general obligation bonds for the purpose of paying part of the cost of acquisition of the Oak Brook Utility Company; and whereas, for the purposes of said election the Village of Oak Brook was divided into one (1) election precinct; and Whereas, due notice was published, judges appointed and the question adopted, all in accordance with the statutes of the State of Illinois; and Whereas, by the terms of the election code it is the duty of the President and Board of Trustees to canvass the results of said election; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and the Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook that the official canvass having been conducted, it is hereby found and determined that the votes cast were as follows: PRECINCT VOTES VOTES NUMBER FOR AGAINST 1 245 877 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the official canvass therefor shows that there were 245 ballots cast in favor of the proposition and 877 ballots cast against the proposition, and that the proposition is hereby declared to have not passed.
