RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, ROBERT G. SANFORD has devotedly and with dedication and merit served the
Village of Oak Brook in his capacity first as a Zoning Board of Appeals' Member from November, 2002
through May, 2005 and then as Village Trustee from May, 2005 through May, 2009; and
WHEREAS, during the unselfish and committed rendering of said service ROBERT G.
SANFORD has given generously of his time, effort and expertise, contributing particularly thereby to the
progress and well -being of the said Village and its citizens; and
WHEREAS, ROBERT G. SANFORD was instrumental in establishing the Commercial
Revitalization Project as well as being significantly involved in the development of the Promenade,
Clearwater and other important projects.
WHEREAS, as a vital liaison, ROBERT G. SANFORD continues to serve the business
community through the Greater Oak Brook Chamber of Commerce as well as serving as the Brook Forest
Homeowners Association President since 2003; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees are of the opinion that a record of such civic
service should be made and spread upon the records of said Village.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of
Oak Brook that the said ROBERT G. SANFORD be and is hereby commended for his steadfast service
to the Village of Oak Brook and the citizens thereof.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak
Brook, for and on behalf of said Village and its citizens, do hereby extend their appreciation and gratitude
to the said ROBERT G. SANFORD for his civic service as aforedescribed.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a duly certified copy of this Resolution be delivered to the said
ROBERT G. SANFORD and that this Resolution be spread upon the official permanent records of said
Village.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak
Brook, DuPage and Cook Counties, Illinois, this 28th day of April, 2009.
