RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, JEFFREY J. KENNEDY has stanchly and with perseverance and excellence served
the Village of Oak Brook in his capacity as a Village Trustee from May, 2005 through May, 2009, and
WHEREAS, during the generous and enthusiastic rendering of said service JEFFREY J.
KENNEDY has given wholeheartedly of his time, effort and expertise, contributing noticeably thereby to
the improvement and well -being of the said Village and its citizens, and
WHEREAS, JEFFREY J. KENNEDY initiated and chaired the Commercial Revitalization Project
as well as being extensively engaged in the development of many vital projects such as Clearwater and
Promenade and in updating the Village Comprehensive Plan for commercial districts, and
WHEREAS, additionally, JEFFREY J. KENNEDY co- chaired the Beautification Committee, was a
leader in Village infrastructure improvements, as well as serving as President of the Oak Brook Club
Community Area Association, and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees are of the opinion that a record of such civic
contribution should be made and spread upon the records of said Village
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of
Oak Brook that the said JEFFREY J. KENNEDY be and is hereby commended for his devoted service to
the Village of Oak Brook and the citizens thereof
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak
Brook, for and on behalf of said Village and its citizens, do hereby extend their appreciation and gratitude
to the said JEFFREY J. KENNEDY for his public service as aforedescribed
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a duly certified copy of this Resolution be delivered to the said
JEFFREY J. KENNEDY and that this Resolution be spread upon the official permanent records of said
Village
ADOPTED AND APPROVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak
Brook, DuPage and Cook Counties, Illinois, this 281th day of April, 2009
