RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, KATHRYN F. MANOFSKY has faithfully and with dedication and distinction served
the Village of Oak Brook in her capacity as Village Trustee from May, 2005 through May, 2009, and
WHEREAS, during the generous and dedicated rendering of said service KATHRYN F.
MANOFSKY has given unselfishly of her time, effort and expertise, contributing significantly thereby to
the advancement and good of the said Village and its citizens, and
WHEREAS, KATHRYN F. MANOFSKY has proved invaluable in her tireless work coordinating
the first ever Taste of Oak Brook as well as securing funding for the annual Independence Day
Celebrations' spectacular fireworks displays, and
WHEREAS, in addition to the above, KATHRYN F. MANOFSKY co- chaired the Beautification
Committee and contributed immensely with her work with the Sports Core, on the Ethics Committee, as
well as being involved with the Village Manager search process, and
WHEREAS, as an Oak Brook Park District Commissioner, KATHRYN F. MANOFSKY also gave
unselfishly of her time for the betterment of the Village of Oak Brook, and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees are of the opinion that a record of such faithful
service should be made and spread upon the records of said Village
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of
Oak Brook that the said KATHRYN F. MANOFSKY be and is hereby commended for her loyal service to
the Village of Oak Brook and the citizens thereof
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak
Brook, for and on behalf of said Village and its citizens, do hereby extend their appreciation and gratitude
to the said KATHRYN F. MANOFSKY for her civic service as aforedescribed
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a duly certified copy of this Resolution be delivered to the said
KATHRYN F. MANOFSKY and that this Resolution be spread upon the official permanent records of said
Village
ADOPTED AND APPROVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak
Brook, DuPage and Cook Counties, Illinois, this 28th day of April, 2009
