RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION
WHEREAS, STELIOS AKTIPIS has faithfully and with dedication and distinction served the
Village of Oak Brook in his capacity as Village Trustee from May, 2002 to May, 2007 and from
May, 2009 to May, 2013, and as Chairman and Member of the Plan Commission from 1993 to
2002; and
WHEREAS, STELIOS AKTIPIS was instrumental in initiating the Citizens Finance
Committee in 2009 and served as a trustee liaison to the Committee and assisted in its role in
moving the Village to a more stable financial situation; and
WHEREAS, during his years on the Village Board his expertise with development issues
provided valuable assistance in decision - making; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees are of the opinion that a record of such
faithful service should be made and spread upon the records of said Village.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Oak Brook that STELIOS AKTIPIS be and is hereby commended for his loyal service to
the Village of Oak Brook and the citizens thereof.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of
Oak Brook, for and on behalf of said Village and its citizens, do hereby extend their appreciation
and gratitude to STELIOS AKTIPIS for his civic service as aforedescribed.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a duly certified copy of this Resolution be delivered to
STELIOS AKTIPIS and that this Resolution be spread upon the official permanent records of said
Village.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak
DuPage and Cook Counties,
