RESOLUTION 2001 -FD-AG-EX1 -R- 7 7 g
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT
BETWEEN THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK AND
THE ILLINOIS STATE TOLL HIGHWAY AUTHORITY
TO PROVIDE ADDITIONAL FIRE PROTECTION AND EMERGENCY SERVICES
WHEREAS, the Yorkfield Fire Department, is no longer able to provide fire protection and
icy services to its assigned territory of the Illinois State Toll Highway Authority; and
WHEREAS, the Illinois State Toll Highway Authority, has asked the Village of Oak Brook Fire
Department to expand its currently assigned territory to include the territory formerly handled by the
Yorke
fld Fire Department pursuant to the terms and compensation set forth in the attached Agreement;
and

WHEREAS, the Oak Brook Fire Department has reviewed the Illinois State Toll Highway
lity's request and has recommended approval of the proposed Agreement; and
WHEREAS, approval of the proposed Agreement is in the best interest of the Village of Oak
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS as follows.
Section 1 That the provisions of the preamble hereinabove set forth are hereby adopted as
though fully set forth herein.
Section 2. That the President and Board of Trustees do hereby approve an Agreement with the
Illinois State Toll Highway Authority for fire protection services and emergency services on a portion of the
IllinoislTollway System set forth in the form of agreement labelled Exhibit A and attached hereto

Section 3. That the Village President and Village Clerk are authorized and directed to execute
said Agreement substantially in the form attached.
Section 4: That this resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and
approval as provided by law.
PASSED AND APPROVED this midday of May, 2001 by the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Oak Brook, DuPage and Cook Counties, Illinois, according to a roll call vote as follows
