R-780 - 05/22/2001 - AGREEMENT - ResolutionsRESOLUTION 2001- FD- AG- EX1 -R- 780 A RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT FOR PUMPER STORAGE AND USE ! WHEREAS, the Village of Oak Brook ("Village") and the Darien- Woodridge Fire Protection District ("District") are Illinois municipal corporations; and WHEREAS, due to the construction of a new Village Fire Station, the Village needs temporarily to garage a reserve pumper; and WHEREAS, the District has garage space available for the pumper; and WHEREAS, when not in use by the Village, the pumper may be garaged and used by the District pursuant to the terms of the attached agreement, and WHEREAS, the parties desire to foster the economic and efficient utilization of public funds expended for personal property, and therefore, to provide for the garaging and use of the pumper; and WHEREAS, the purpose of the attached agreement is consistent with the goals of the intergovernmental cooperation clause of the Constitution of the State of Illinois (Article VII, Section 10) and is!, further authorized by 5 ILCS 220 /1 _et sea• NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS as follows: Section 1- That the provisions of the preamble hereinabove set forth are hereby adopted as though fully set forth herein. i Section 2. That the President and Board of Trustees approve an intergovernmental agreement for pumper storage and use with the Darien- Woodridge Fire Protection District on the terms set forth in the foram of agreement labelled Exhibit A and attached hereto Section 3 That the Village President and Village Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said agreement substantially in the form attached. Section 4 That this resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval as provided by law PASSED AND APPROVED this `day of May, 2001 by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook, DuPage and Cook Counties, Illinois, according to a roll call vote as follows Ayes Nays Trustees Butler, Caleel, Craig, Korin, Miologos and Savino None Absent: None Abstain- None - 0 W Resolution 2001- FD- AG- EX1 -R- 780 Temporary Pumper Storage and Use Page 2 l
