R-202 - 06/08/1976 - PROCLAMATION - Resolutionspitac�ae�w'frnN � ao� Ce>tettltNtrol�i BE IT KNOWN THROUGHOUT THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK that the Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook extend a welcome to delegates and alternate delegates to the 1976 Illinois Republican State Convention; WHEREAS, the state Republican Convention will be held for the first time in Oupage County; and WHEREAS, the Republican State Convention delegates and alternate delegates will be meeting at the Sheraton- OakBrook Hotel in the Village of Oak Brook on June 11 and June 12, 1976, for the purpose of electing five delegates at large to attend the Republican National Convention on August 16, 1976, to form a party platform and appoint trustees for the University of Illinois; WHEREAS, the Village of Oak Brook is pleased to host the Convention during America's Bicentennial Year. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook that an official welcome be and is hereby extended to the participants of the 1976 Illinois Republican Convention; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be spread upon the official records of the Village of Oak Brook and that a copy be presented to the appropriate officials of the Illinois Republican Convention.
