A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING A CITIZEN FINANCIAL ADVISORY COMMITTEE
WHEREAS, certain economic trends have affected the budget and operations of the Village of
Oak Brook, and
WHEREAS, the corporate authorities of the Village of Oak Brook find that it is in the Village's best
interest that there be formed a Citizen Financial Advisory Committee
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS,
as follows
Section 1 That there is hereby created a Citizen Financial Advisory Committee (Committee) for
the purpose of advising and making budget recommendations to the Village staff and the Village Board
Said Committee shall consist of five (5) members, which will be Oak Brook residents
Section 2 That the Committee shall have and exercise the following powers and duties
(a) To discuss and formulate budgetary recommendations which shall be provided to the
Village Board on a regular basis
(b) To report directly to the Trustee - Liaison for the Finance Department
Section 3 That the Committee will serve in an advisory capacity only
Section 4 That members of the Committee will serve at the discretion of the current Village
President or until the Committee is dissolved
