A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN
AGREEMENT FOR FIRE SUPPRESSION SERVICES
WITH BUTTERFIELD COUNTRY CLUB
BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook, DuPage
and Cook Counties, Illinois, the Village President and Village Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to
execute an Agreement For Fire Suppression Services with Butterfield Country Club., which agreement
shall be in substantial conformity with the form of agreement labeled "Exhibit A" and attached hereto.
PASSED AND APPROVED this 8th day of July , 2003, by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook, DuPage and Cook Counties, Illinois, according to a roll call vote as
follows:

EXHIBIT"A"
AGREEMENT FOR FIRE SUPPRESSION SERVICES
WHEREAS, Butterfield Country Club, an Illinois not-for-profit corporation, is not within the corporate
boundaries of the Village of Oak Brook; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Oak Brook did nonetheless provide fire suppression services to the
Butterfield Country Club pursuant to a twenty-year agreement from 1962 to 1982, and to a subsequent
twenty-year agreement from 1982 to November 7, 2002; and
WHEREAS, the Butterfield Country Club desires that the Village continue to provide fire
suppression services to the Club; and
WHEREAS, given that the Butterfield County Club is completely surrounded by territory of the
Village of Oak Brook, it is in the best interest of the Village that fire suppression services be provided to
the Butterfield Country Club;
WITNESSETH :
NOW, THEREFORE, THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, A MUNICIPAL CORPORATION, AND
BUTTERFIELD COUNTRY CLUB, AN ILLINOIS NOT-FOR-PROFIT CORPORATION, DO AGREE AS
FOLLOWS:
1. That the provisions of the preamble hereinabove set forth are hereby adopted as though fully
set forth herein.
2. That the Village of Oak Brook will provide fire suppression services at no cost to the
Butterfield County Club for a term of twenty(20)years.
3. That either party may terminate this Agreement upon ninety(90)days prior written notice.
4. That notice may be provided by first class mail, addressed as follows:

5. That the Village of Oak Brook has not and will not provide paramedic or rescue services to
the Club. The Club agrees to make other arrangements to provide these services.
This Agreement will become effective on August 1, 2003 and shall expire, if not sooner
terminated as provided above, on August 1, 2023.
