RES GLUT Y ON.eva.L WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook take note of and are deeply saddened by the sudden, untimely and tragic death of Police Officer RICHARD E. LARSON, JR. on August 10th, 1971, and, WHEREAS, Officer RICHARD E. LARSON, JR. was a member of the Oak Brook Police Department since January 27th, 1967, and, WHEREAS, in the capacity of a police officer in and for the Village of Oak Brook, Officer RICHARD E. LARSON, JR. faithfully discharged the duties of his office with loyalty, interest, dedi- cation and extreme competence, and, WHEREAS, Officer RICHARD E. LARSON, JR. consistently promoted higher standards of performance and education in the law enforcement profession and encouraged a better, more complete understanding of police work in the Village of Oak Brook, and, WHEREAS, Officer RICHARD E. LARSON, JR. was considered by his plrofessional friends and associates to be a truly outstanding repre- sentative of the police profession, and, WHEREAS, Officer RICHARD E. LARSON, JR. has set an outstanding example for his associates which was characterized by a willingness to help and to serve his fellow man, and, WHEREAS, his untimely death leaves a void in the Oak Brook Police Department and in the police profession which will be d3.= Picult to fill, and, WHEREAS, he will be sorely missed by all of his friends, neighbors and fellow officers and the official family of the Village of Oak Brook, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook that on behalf of all village ro_sidents, they do hereby extend their sincerest and deepest sympathy to the family of Police Officer RICHARD E. LARSON, JR. on the occasion his untimely death. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Village President, be, and is hereby directed to deliver, with sympathy, this resolution to the family of Police Officer RICHARD E. LARSON, JR. BE IT STILL FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be spread upon the official records and proceedings of the Village of Oak Brook and the Oak Brook Police Department.
