RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, RICHARD A. MARTENS has been employed with the Village of Oak
Brook for fifteen years serving with dedication and distinction as Village Attorney; and
WHEREAS, RICHARD A. MARTENS has consistently displayed the highest
degree of integrity and professionalism; and
WHEREAS, RICHARD A. MARTENS has provided wise and trusted counsel to F
the elected and appointed officials and Village staff; and
WHEREAS, RICHARD A. MARTENS will be long remembered by all for his fair
and thoughtful guidance; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees are of the opinion that a record
of such faithful service should be made and spread upon the records of said Village.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Oak Brook, on behalf of all the Village employees and all the Village
residents, that they do hereby extend their sincerest thanks and gratitude to RICHARD
A. MARTENS for his many years of dedicated and loyal service as well as for the
example which he set for all those people who came into contact with him.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution be presented to RICHARD A.
MARTENS with best wishes for continued success in his future endeavors.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a duly certified copy of this Resolution be
delivered to the said RICHARD A. MARTENS and that this Resolution be spread upon
the official permanent records of said Village.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Oak Brook, DuPage and Cook Counties, Illinois, this 26th day of August,
2003
