RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, GEORGE C. MUELLER has faithfully and with dedication and distinction served the Village of
Oak Brook in his capacity as a member of the Zoning Board of Appeals from February, 1999 through July, 2005, and
as a commissioner on the Plan Commission from May, 1991 through February, 1999, and
WHEREAS, the said GEORGE C. MUELLER has also served the Village of Oak Brook in many other ways
including past member and officer of the Oak Brook Volunteer Firemen's Association, serving on the Oak Brook
Volunteer Fire Department from 1953 to 1969, with eight years as captain, member and past President and Treasurer
of the Oak Brook Civic Association, during which time he organized the Annual Great lakes Thanksgiving Recruit Day
for 14 years; past member and President of the Oak Brook Lions Club; and member of the Board of Directors and
past President of the DuPage Graue Mill Corporation,
WHEREAS, GEORGE C. MUELLER also worked very diligently with various groups on the incorporation of
Oak Brook and subsequent annexations after its incorporation
WHEREAS, during the generous and dedicated rendering of said service GEORGE C. MUELLER has given
unselfishly of his time, effort and expertise, contributing significantly thereby to the progress and well -being of the said
Village and its citizens, and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees are of the opinion that a record of such faithful service
should be made and spread upon the records of said Village
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook
that the said GEORGE C. MUELLER be and is hereby commended for his loyal service to the Village of Oak Brook
and the citizens thereof
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook, for and
on behalf of said Village and its citizens, do hereby extend their appreciation and gratitude to the said GEORGE C.
MUELLER for his civic service as aforedescribed
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a duly certified copy of this Resolution be delivered to the said GEORGE
C. MUELLER and that this Resolution be spread upon the official permanent records of said Village
ADOPTED AND APPROVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook, DuPage
and Cook Counties, Illinois, this 13th day of September, 2005.
