RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, STEPHEN J. McSHANE has faithfully and with dedication and distinction served the Village of
Oak Brook in his capacity as a member of the Oak Brook Safety Pathway Committee from August, 1992 through
June, 2005, and
WHEREAS, during the generous and dedicated rendering of said service STEPHEN J. McSHANE has
given unselfishly of his time, effort and expertise, contributing significantly to the completion of the Oak Brook
Pedestrian /Bicycle Pathway System, an extensive project which now provides the Oak Brook community
with a considerably more safe method of pedestrian and bicycle transportation throughout the area, over
fourteen miles of pathway system to enjoy, and a meaningful improvement to Oak Brook's uniqueness as
a premier community; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees are of the opinion that a record of such faithful service
should be made and spread upon the records of said Village.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook
that the said STEPHEN J. McSHANE be and is hereby commended for his loyal service to the Village of Oak Brook
and the citizens thereof
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook, for and
on behalf of said Village and its citizens, do hereby extend their appreciation and gratitude to the said STEPHEN J.
McSHANE for his civic service as aforedescribed.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a duly certified copy of this Resolution be delivered to the said
STEPHEN J. McSHANE and that this Resolution be spread upon the official permanent records of said Village
ADOPTED AND APPROVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook, DuPage
and Cook Counties, Illinois, this 13th day of September, 2005.
