RFSnI IITION
WHEREAS, LINDA K. GONNELLA has faithfully and with dedication and distinction served the Village of
Oak Brook in her capacity as Village Clerk of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook from April, 1989 to
May, 2007, and
WHEREAS, the said LINDA K. GONNELLA has also served the Village of Oak Brook in many other ways
including acting as Pension Clerk for the Firefighters Pension Fund Board and the Police Pension Fund, and
WHEREAS, LINDA K. GONNELLA also served as Chairman and Member of the Oak Brook Autumn Fest
Committee, and
WHEREAS, LINDA K. GONNELLA has been very involved in the International Institute of Municipal Clerks,
the Municipal Clerks of Illinois and the Municipal Clerks of DuPage County, as well as several civic and charitable
organizations, such as the Oak Brook Chapter of Infant Welfare Society of Chicago, the American Association of
University Women and the Oak Brook Women's Club, and
WHEREAS, during the generous and dedicated rendering of said service LINDA K. GONNELLA has given
unselfishly of her time, effort and expertise, contributing significantly thereby to developing and implementing a state -
of- the -art system of recordkeeping for the Village of Oak Brook, and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees are of the opinion that a record of such faithful service
should be made and spread upon the records of said Village
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook
that the said LINDA K. GONNELLA be and is hereby commended for her loyal service to the Village of Oak Brook
and the citizens thereof
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook, for and
on behalf of said Village and its citizens, do hereby extend their appreciation and gratitude to the said LINDA K
GONNELLA for her civic service as aforedescribed
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a duly certified copy of this Resolution be delivered to the said LINDA K.
GONNELLA and that this Resolution be spread upon the official permanent records of said Village
ADOPTED AND APPROVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook, DuPage
and Cook Counties, Illinois, this 25th day of September, 2007
