RESOLUTION TO BEQUEST THE DU PAGE
COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS TO
CREATE A COUNTY PLAN COMMISSION

wnBEAS, the Village of Oak Brook, Du Page Countyo Illinois
has in many instances encountered drainage problems over which it
has no control and for which there is no plan of eliminations and
WHEREAS* the Village of Oak Brook has found inconMruous
zonings to be granted in unincorporated areas which abut the
Village; and
WHEREASq a well coordinated plan for the development of all
territories is a basic necessity for proper planning and extensions
of water and storm and asifitary sewers; control of traffic for the
safety of children and proper traffic flow; and elimination of
flood areas; and
TO PREVENT the creation of future alum areas in no plans land
areas.
NOW. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board
of Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook, Du Page County, Illinois
that the President and Board of Supervisors of Du Page County,
Illinois be asked to create a County Plan Commission to deal with
these matters and to adopt a Master Plan in conjunction with the
communities within their jurisdiction.
