RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, MELISSA SALAZAR has faithfully and with dedication and distinction served the
Village of Oak Brook in her capacity as a member of the Oak Brook Library Commission from May, 2002
through May, 2007; and
WHEREAS, during the generous and dedicated rendering of said service MELISSA SALAZAR
has given unselfishly of her time, effort and expertise, contributing significantly as Chairperson from 2003
to 2007 and guiding the Library Commission through the Landscaping Master Plan and front garden
project for the Oak Brook Public Library; and
WHEREAS, MELISSA SALAZAR, has also been involved with the Library Foundation to assist
in funding development of the Library front garden project; and
WHEREAS, MELISSA SALAZAR has been most supportive of developing the best possible
library for the Oak Brook community; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees are of the opinion that a record of such faithful
service should be made and spread upon the records of said Village.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of
Oak Brook that the said MELISSA SALAZAR be and is hereby commended for her loyal service to the
Village of Oak Brook and the citizens thereof.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak
Brook, for and on behalf of said Village and its citizens, do hereby extend their appreciation and gratitude
to the said MELISSA SALAZAR for her civic service as aforedescribed.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a duly certified copy of this Resolution be delivered to the said
MELISSA SALAZAR and that this Resolution be spread upon the official permanent records of said
Village.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak
Brook, DuPage and Cook Counties, Illinois, this 14th day of October, 2008.
