RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION
WHEREAS, TIM MAHLER, a manager of the Wildfire Restaurant, was responsible for
saving the life of a choking victim on September 3, 2006.
WHEREAS, Tim Mahler's swift and decisive performance of the Heimlich maneuver
provided the needed definitive treatment resulting in the clearing of the victim's airway.
WHEREAS, due to the actions of Tim Mahler, the patient was conscious and alert upon
arrival of Oak Brook Fire Department paramedics.
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook, on behalf
of the citizens thereof, are of the opinion that such competent and dedicated service should be
recognized and "celebrated "; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees are of the opinion that a record of such
service should be made and spread upon the records of said Village:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees of
the Village of Oak Brook that Tim Mahler be and is hereby commended for his life saving
contribution to the Village of Oak Brook and its citizens thereof.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the President and Board of Trustees of the Village
of Oak Brook, for and on behalf of said Village and its citizens, do hereby extend their gratitude
and appreciation to Tim Mahler for such extraordinary service.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a duly certified copy of this Resolution be
delivered to Tim Mahler and that this Resolution become part of the official permanent records
of said Village.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of
Oak Brook, DuPage and Cook Counties, Illinois, this 14th day of November, 2006.
