RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION
WHEREAS, JUDY BIGGERT is an esteemed and highly regarded citizen of the State of Illinois;
and
WHEREAS, JUDY BIGGERT began her extensive career in civic service in the Village of
Hinsdale where she gave unselfishly of her time, effort and expertise in many different community
organizations; and
WHEREAS, she served the constituents in her district as a Representative of the Illinois State
House of Representatives from 1992 -1998 and dealt with a myriad of vital issues with intelligence and
unquestionable integrity; and
WHEREAS, from 1998 -2013 JUDY BIGGERT further served the citizens of the State of Illinois
as a Representative in the United States House of Representatives; and
WHEREAS, during her legislative career JUDY BIGGERT has contributed significantly to the
welfare of the residents of Oak Brook; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees are of the opinion that a record of such faithful
service should be made and spread upon the records of said Village.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village
of Oak Brook that the said JUDY BIGGERT be and is hereby commended for her faithful service to the
Village of Oak Brook and the citizens thereof.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak
Brook, for and on behalf of said Village and its citizens, do hereby extend their appreciation and
gratitude to the said JUDY BIGGERT for her civic service as aforedescribed.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a duly certified copy of this Resolution be delivered to the
said JUDY BIGGERT and that this Resolution be spread upon the official permanent records of said
Village.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak
Brook, DuPage and Cook Counties, Illinois, this 12th day of February, 2013.
