SUBJECT: Bank Check Signature Authority

RECOMMENDED MOTION: I move that the Village Board adopt Resolution R -967
regarding authorized check signers for the Village of Oak Brook.
Background/History:
At the present time there are three individuals authorized to sign checks for the Village -the
Village Treasurer, Village Manager, and Village President. One signature is required for checks
under $10,000, and any check over $10,000 requires two signatures. Due to the resignation of
Rick Boehm as Village Manager, the attached resolution deletes Rick as an authorized signer and
adds Jeff Moline in order to maintain the three eligible signers. The Facsimile Signature portion
next to Jeff's name has been left blank since the plate is on order -it will be imprinted on the form
when it arrives. Traditionally a facsimile signature is not used by the Village President for
signing checks.
Recommendation:
I recommend approval of Resolution R -967 regarding authorized check signers for the Village of
Oak Brook
