RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, MOIN SAIYED has faithfully and with dedication and distinction served the Village of
Oak Brook in his capacity as Village Trustee from May, 2007 through May, 2011; and
WHEREAS, during the generous and dedicated rendering of said service MOIN SAIYED has
given unselfishly of his time, effort and expertise, contributing significantly thereby to the advancement
and good of the said Village and its citizens; and
WHEREAS, MOIN SAIYED also served on the Oak Brook Plan Commission from August, 2005
to May, 2007 and was involved in many of the commercial and residential development projects in the
Village, as well as the creation of a comprehensive tear down and new construction ordinance; and
WHEREAS, MOIN SAIYED, as Trustee Liaison, worked tirelessly to improve relations with the
Oak Brook Park District as well as encouraging revitalization through his work as Liaison to the Hotel
Committee and served as an advocate for both the business community and the Greater Oak Brook
Chamber of Commerce; and
WHEREAS, as Trustee Liaison to the Oak Brook Public Library and the Police Department,
MOIN SAIYED was effective in determining the best strategy to enhance those departments; and
WHEREAS, as a member of the Oak Brook Civic Association, MOIN SAIYED also gave
unselfishly of his time for the betterment of the Village of Oak Brook; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees are of the opinion that a record of such faithful
service should be made and spread upon the records of said Village.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of
Oak Brook that the said MOIN SAIYED be and is hereby commended for his loyal service to the Village of
Oak Brook and the citizens thereof.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak
Brook, for and on behalf of said Village and its citizens, do hereby extend their appreciation and gratitude
to the said MOIN SAIYED for his civic service as aforedescribed.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a duly certified copy of this Resolution be delivered to the said
MOIN SAIYED and that this Resolution be spread upon the official permanent records of said Village.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak
Brook, DuPage and Cook Counties, Illinois, this 26th day of April, 2011.
