SUBJECT: Resolution - Ad -Hoc Residential Enhancement Committee

RECOMMENDED MOTION: Motion to Approve Resolution 2013- ADHOC- ENHANCE-
CMTE -R -1264, a Resolution Further Amending Resolution R -1191 to Increase the Number
of Members by One to Allow for an Additional Appointment to the Village Ad Hoc
Residential Enhancement Committee.
Background/History,:
Attached is a resolution amending the Ad -Hoc Residential Enhancement Committee resolution that was
previously approved by the Village Board.
The original make up of the Committee is as follows: the Oak Brook Ad -hoc Residential Enhancement
Committee is made up of not less than seven (7) nor more than eleven (11) members with terms that
expire October 10`h of every year. The Committee consists of Residents -at -large of the Village, Realtors
of the Village, Oak Brook Homeowner Association Representatives and School District and Park District
Representatives.
We would like to add one more resident to the committee. Therefore, we need to amend the resolution
increasing the size of the Committee from 13 to 14. A current listing of Committee members is also
attached.
Recommendation:
That the Village Board approve Resolution R -1264 further amending resolution R -1191 to increase the
number of members by one on the Village Ad -Hoc Residential Enhancement Committee to allow for one
additional appointment.

RESOLUTION 2013- ADHOC- ENHANCE - CMTE -R -1264
A RESOLUTION FURTHER AMENDING RESOLUTION R -1191
TO INCREASE THE NUMBER OF MEMBERS ON THE VILLAGE
AD HOC RESIDENTIAL ENHANCEMENT COMMITTEE
WHEREAS, on July 24, 2012, the Village of Oak Brook ( "Village') adopted Resolution 2012 -
ADHOC- ENHANCE - CMTE -R -1191 to establish a Village ad hoc Residential Enhancement Committee
( "Committee ") for the purposes of making recommendations to the President and Board of Trustees
concerning ways to entice new families to move to the Village, to fill vacant homes, and to revitalize and
enhance the Village's residential properties ( "Resolution R- 1191'x; and
WHEREAS, from time to time, the Village has amended Resolution R -1191, and
WHEREAS, the Village Board has determined that it would be in the general welfare and in the
best interests of the Village and its residents to further amend Resolution R -1191 to increase the number
of members who may serve on the Committee.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS as follows:
Section 1: Recitals. The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated into, and made a part
of, this Resolution as the findings of the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook.
Section 2: Members. The Board of Trustees shall appoint not less than seven nor more
than fourteen members to the Committee.
Section 4: Conflict. All resolutions or parts thereof in conflict with the provisions of this
Resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
Section 5: Effective Date. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage by the President and Board of Trustees and its approval in the manner provided by law.
