RECOMMENDED MOTION: I move for passage of Resolution R -1047, A Resolution
Appointing a Representative to the Intergovernmental Risk Management Agency
Background/History:
The Village of Oak Brook is a member of the Intergovernmental Risk Management Agency
(IRMA) for Risk Management, Defense and Risk Coverage. As do each of the 74 members, the
Village has a Delegate and an Alternate which represent the Village as a member of the Board.
The Oak Brook Assistant Village Manager serves as the Delegate and the Finance Director
serves as the Alternate member. Therefore, I am recommending that Sharon Dangles, in her
capacity as Active Finance Director be appointed to serve as the Alternate member.
Recommendation:
I recommend the Village Board approve the attached Resolution.
RESOLUTION 2009 - IRMA -R -1047
A RESOLUTION APPOINTING A REPRESENTATIVE
TO THE INTERGOVERNMENTAL RISK MANAGEMENT AGENCY
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF
OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, that Chester Blaine Wing III be will continue
to serve as "Delegate" representative of the Village of Oak Brook to the Board of Directors of the
Intergovernmental Risk Management Agency (IRMA) pursuant to Section V(a) of the IRMA by -laws.
Sharon Dangles shall be appointed to serve as the Village's "Alternate" representative to IRMA.
Said representative shall have the power and duty to vote on all matters pertinent to the
operations and management of the Intergovernmental Risk Management Agency and shall report to the
Village Manager and Board of Trustees on a regular basis on all matters pertaining to the
Intergovernmental Risk Management Agency
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Village Clerk is hereby authorized to transmit a certified
copy of this Resolution to the Intergovernmental Risk Management Agency, Four Westbrook Corporate
Center Suite 940, Westchester, Ilinois.
