RESOLUTION
WHEREAS,BARBARA A.(LEXI)PAYOVICH, has faithfully and with dedication
and distinction served the Village of Oak Brook in her capacity as a member of the Board of
Trustees from ".✓tay, 1989 through April, 1997;and
WHEREAS, the said BARBARA A. (LEXI) PAYOVICH, has also served the
community in other ways including Co-chair of the Salt Creek Citizens for Flood Control
from 1987 to 1992;Oak Brook Civic Association member from 1990 to 1992;Committeeman
for York Township from 1990 to 1994;a Volunteer at the Hansen Center from 1992 to 1995;
Past President of the Oak Brook Women's Republican Club in 1993; served on the
Intergovernmental Relations and School Funding Committees for the DuPage Mayors and
Managers Conference from 1994 to 1997;founding member of Republicans for Environmental
Protection;and currently Director of the Yorkshire Woods Property Owners Association;and
WHEREAS,during the unselfish and dedicated rendering of said service, BARBARA
A. (LEXI) PAYOVICH has given unselfishly of her time,effort and expertise,contributing
materially thereby to the progress and well-being of the said Village and its citizens; and
WHEREAS,the President and Board of Trustees are of the opinion that a record of
such faithful service should be made and spread upon the records of said Village;
NOW, 'THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Oak Brook that the said BARBARA A. (LEXI) PAYOVICH be and she
hereby is commended for her faithful service to the Village of Oak Brook and the citizens
thereof.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the President and Board of Trustees of the Village
of Oak Brook, for and on behalf of said Village and its citizens, do hereby extend their
appreciation and gratitude to the said BARBARA A. (LEXI) PAYOVICH for her civic
service as aforedescribed.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a duly certified copy of this Resolution be
delivered to the said BARBARA A.(LEXI)PAYOVICH and that this Resolution be spread
upon the official permanent records of said Village.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village
of Oak Brook, DuPage and Cook Counties, Illinois, this 27th day of May,
1997.
