R-707 - 06/09/1998 - APPRECIATION - Resolutions v _ .. I 98-AP-R-707 RESOLUTION WHEREAS, CHRISTINE SMITH, a Senior Life Guard and Swim Coach at the Oak Brook Bath& Tennis Club, was responsible for saving a small child from potential drowning at the Bath&Tennis Club pond on May 25, 1998; and WHEREAS, Christine's extensive training in life-saving and CPR certification, combined with her swift, decisive and professional action, surely averted possible tragic results; and WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook, on behalf of the citizens thereof, are of the opinion that such competent and dedicated service should not be unrecognized; and WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees are of the opinion that a record of such service should be made and spread upon the records of said Village; NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook that the said CHRISTINE SMITH be mid she is hereby commended for her public service to the Village of Oak Brook and its citizens thereof. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook, for and on behalf of said Village and its citizens, do hereby extend their gratitude and appreciation to the said CHRISTINE SMITH for such extraordinary service. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a duly certified copy of this Resolution be delivered to the said CHRISTINE SMITH and that this Resolution be spread upon the official permanent records of said Village.
