RESOLUTION 98-SD-PP-R-711
A RESOLUTION APPROVING
THE AMENDED PRELIMINARY PLAT OF SUBDIVISION
KNOWN AS FOREST GATE RESUBDMSION
(NE Quadrant of 3'is'Street and Route 83)
WHEREAS,an application has been filed seeking variations from certain requirements of the
subdivision ordinance and for approval of a preliminary plat entitled"Forest Gate"resubdivision;and
I
WHEREAS,the Plan Commission has considered the requested variations and preliminary plat;
and
WHEREAS,on May 18, 1998 the Plan Commission recommended approval of both the requested
variations and the preliminary plat;and
WHEREAS,the Village President and Board of Trustees considered the recommendations of the
Plan Commission and concur with the same,subject to certain conditions;
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF j
THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK,DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES,ILLINOIS as follows:
Section 1• That the provisions of the preamble hereinabove set forth are hereby adopted as
though fully set forth herein.
Section 2: That the Preliminary Plat of Forest Gate Resubdivision prepared by Ruettiger,Toneili
&Associates, Inc.,dated as last revised September 14,1998 be and is hereby approved.
Section 3: That the following variations from the Subdivision Ordinance are hereby granted:
(a) That the street width may be twenty feet(20')(face to face)for one-way
cluster roadways and twenty-two feet(22')(face to face)for two-way cluster
roadways(the Subdivision Ordinance requires that all roads be at least
twenty-seven feet(27'));and
(b) That the outside face of curb radius on the cluster cul-de-sacs may be not less
than fifty feet(50')(the Subdivision Ordinance requires sixty feet(60'));and
(c) That lots may be accessible to the right-of-way by access easement(the
Subdivision Ordinance requires that lots abut on a street);
subject to the condition that these variations shall be in substantial conformity with the preliminary
plat described in Section 1.
Section 4: That all sidewalk requirements are hereby waived for the Forest Gate
Resubdivision.

PASSED AND APPROVED this 22nd day of September, 1998,by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook, uPage and Cook Counties, Illinois,according to a roil call vote as
follows:
Ayes: Trustees Bartecki, McInerney, Savino and Shumate
Nays: Trustees Caleel and Kenny
Absent: None
Abstain: None
