RECOMMENDED MOTION: Motion to Approve Resolution 2012- ADHOC- ENHANCE-
CMTE -R -1207, a Resolution Amending Resolution R -1191 to Allow for the Appointment of
Co- Chairs to the Village Ad Hoc Residential Enhancement Committee.
Background/History:
Attached is a resolution amending the Ad -hoc Residential Enhancement Committee resolution
that was previously approved by the Village Board.
We have had two committee members interested in co- chairing but not being a single
chairperson. Therefore, we need to amend the resolution creating the committee to allow Co-
Chairs.
Recommendation:
That the Village Board approve Resolution R -1191 amending resolution R -1191 to allow the
appointment of Co- Chairs to the Residential Enhancement Committee.

A RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION R -1191
TO ALLOW FOR THE APPOINTMENT OF CO- CHAIRS
TO THE VILLAGE AD HOC RESIDENTIAL ENHANCEMENT COMMITTEE
WHEREAS, On July 24, 2012 the Village of Oak Brook ( "Village ") adopted Resolution 2012 -
ADHOC- ENHANCE - CMTE -R -1207 to establish a Village ad hoc Residential Enhancement Committee
( "Committee ") for the purposes of making recommendations to the President and Board of Trustees
concerning ways to entice new families to move to the Village, to fill vacant homes, and to revitalize and
enhance the Village's residential properties ( "Previous Resolution "); and
WHEREAS, the Village Board has determined that it would be in the general welfare and in the
best interests of the Village and its residents to amend the Previous resolution to allow for the
appointment of two of the Committee's members to serve as co- chairs of the Committee; and
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS as follows:
Section 1: Recitals. The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated into, and made a part
of, this Resolution as the findings of the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook.
Section 2: Members. The Board of Trustees shall designate two members of the
Committee to serve as the co- chairs of the Committee ( "Chairpersons ").
Section 3: Role of the Chairpersons. Meetings of the Committee shall be held at the
call of either Chairperson. The Chairpersons shall have the power to vote.
Section 4: Conflict. All resolutions or parts thereof in conflict with the provisions of this
Resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
Section 5: Effective Date. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage by the President and Board of Trustees and its approval in the manner provided by law.
