Village of Oak Brook in her capacity as a member of the Library Commission from January, 1992 through
September, 1999-,and
WHEREAS, the said BARBARA 1). BENEZRA has also served the community in many other ways
including; fast President and Publicity Chairman of the Oak Brook Chapter of the Infant Welfare Society; Ad
Book chairman of the Oak Brook Women's Club; Past President and 'Treasurer of the Brook Forest PTA;
Recording Secretary of the Butler PTA;and Past President and Treasurer of the District 53 Music Boosters;and
WHEREAS,the said BARBARA D. BENEZRA continues to work on behalf of the Oak Brook Public
library by serving on the Boards of the Oak Brook Public Library foundation and the friends of the Oak Brook
Public Library;and
WHEREAS, during the unselfish and dedicated rendering of said service BARBARA D. BENEZRA
has given unselfishly of her time, effort and expertise,contributing materially thereby to the progress and well-
being of the said Village and its citizens;and
WHEREAS,the President and Board of Trustees ar::of the opinion that a record of such faithful service
should be made and spread upon the records of said Village;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of
Oak Brook that the said BARBARA D.BENEZRA be and she hereby is commended for her faithful service to
the Village of Oak Brook and the citizens thereof.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the President and Board of Trustees of the Viflage of Oak Brook,
for and on behalf of said Village and its citizens, do hereby extend their appreciation and gratitude to the said
BARBARA D. BENEZRA for her civic service as aforedescribed.
BE I.1' FURTHER RESOLVED that a duly certified copy of this Resolution be delivered to the said
BARBARA D. BENEZRA and that this Resolution be spread upon the official permanent records of said
Village.
