AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE PASSING OF
SCHOOL BUSES W THIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS
OF THE VILLAGE OF OAKBROOK, DU PAGE COUNTY,
ILLINOIS
BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Oakbrook, Du Page County, Illinois:
Section 1: That the driver of any motor vehicle upon the
public streets or highways within the corporate limits of the Village
of Oakbrook shall, upon meeting or overtaking from either direction any
school bus which is stopped on the said street or highway for the purposes

of receiving or discharging any school children, stop his said motor
vehicle before reaching such school bus when there is in operation on
said school bus a visual signal as specified in paragraph 210a of
Chapter 951 of the Illinois Revised Statutes, 1959 Edition, and said
driver shall not proceed until such school bus resumes motion, or the
visual signals are no longer actuated, unless such driver is signalled
by the school bus driver to proceed.
Section 2: Any person, firm or corporation violating the
provision of this ordinance shall be subject to a penalty of not less
than One Dollar nor more than One Hundred Dollars for each such
NNW violation.

President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak
Brook (being a municipality with less than five hundred
population in which no newspaper is published) by posting
a notice and copy of said ordinance in three prominent
Places within the said municipality, to•wit :
