AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE OFFICE OF
DEPUTY CLERK IN THE VILLAGE OF OAKBROOK$
DU PAGE COUNTY, ILLINOIS
BE IT ORDAINED by the President and the Board of Trustees of the
Village of Oakbrook:
Section lt That there is hereby created in and for the Village
of Oakbrook the office of Deputy Clerk., who shall have the power and duty
to execute all documents required by any law to be executed by the Village
Clerk and to affix the seal of the Clerk thereto, wherever required*
Section 2: In signing any such document the Deputy Clerk shall
sign the name of the Clerk followed with the word "By" and the Deputy
Clerkts own name) and the words "Deputy Clerk".
Section 3: Such duties shall be exercised only in the absence
of the Clerk from the Clerk's office and only when written direction has
been given by the Clerk to such Deputy to exercise such power., or when
the President and Board of Trustees have determined by resolution that the
Village Clerk is temporarily or permanently incapacitated to perform such
functions.
Section 4*- The appointment of such Deputy Clerk shall be made
by the Village Clerk and the said Deputy Clerk shall serve at the pleasure
of the Village Clerk.
Passed and approved by the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Oakbrook this day of A. D. 1961.

of the Village of Oak Brook, do hereby certify that I did
on the 22nd day of April, A. D. 1961, publish the above
and foregoing ordinance, duly passed and approved by the
President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak
Brook (being a municipality with less than five hundred
population in which no newspaper is published) by posting
a notice and copy of said ordinance in three prominent
places within the said municipality, to-wit :
