G-30 - 12/12/1961 - STREETS - Ordinances JEB.KM 12-12-61 1 & 6 cc. * a �DpR S a►e.P n.4-peR S .30 AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING AN OFFICIAL NUMBERING SYSTEM FOR THE VILLAGE OF OAKBROOK, DU PAGE COUNTY, ILLINOIS WHEREAS, for the purpose of providing adequate fire and police protection and for the general convenience-of the residents of the Village of Oakbrook, DuPage County, Illinois, it, is necessary that a uniform and orderly numbering system designating houses by numbers be adopted; and WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of said Village have made an exhaustive investigation of varigus .types of proposed systems and have finally determined that the follow- ing system will best serve the needs of the Village of Oakbrook and its citizens; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Presidenttand the Board of Trustees of the Village of Oakbrook: Section 1. That with the exception of that territory within said Village located west of Midwest Road and south of the Illinois Tollway known and designated as the "G:±nger Creek Sub- ' division" house numbers within said Village shall correspond with the grid lines established on the annexed plat of said Village, which said plat is attached hereto, marked Exhibit A and by reference made a part of this ordinance, and such numbers shall progress uniformly to meet the number designation on the next succeeding grid line. Section 2. All houses or buildings located on the north and west sides of respective streets shall bear even numbers and all houses or buildings located on the east and south sides of respective streets shall bear odd numbers. Section 3. It shall be the duty of the office of the Building Commissioner, upon request, to issue and designate numbers for all buildings within the Village in accordance with � -� o.f the system hereby adopted. Section 4. The numbering system within the confines of the Ginger Creek Subdivision shall correspond to the system designated on the attached plat of said subdivision, which is marked Exhibit B and by reference made a part of this ordinance.
