AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE N0, G-119
PASSED_ AND APPROVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND
BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE ,OF OAKBROOK
O�VTHE 18TH DAY OF
FEBRUARY, 1960, AS AMENDED
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village
of Oakbrook did on the 18th day of February, 1960s adopt "An Ordinance
Establishing Rules and Regulations for the Construction, Alteration,
Repair and Conversion of Buildings within the Village of Oakbrook,
DuPage County, Illinois," known and designated as Ordinance No„ G-11;
and
WHEREAS, by the terms of said ordinance the said President

and Board of Trustees did by reference adopt the rules and regulations
contained in the Suburban Building Regulations for Residences, April
1957 Edition, which had theretofore been published in pamphlet form;
and
WHEREAS, the rules and regulations contained in such
publication have been updated and revised and have been published in
revised form under the name, title and description of the Suburban
Building Officials Conference Building Code, March 1964 Edition,
entitled "Rules and Regulations for the Construction, Alteration,
Repair and Conversion of Buildings for Residential Purposes"; and
�- WHEREAS, it is the opinion of the President and Board of
Trustees of 'the Village of Oakbrook that the revised edition should
be adopted and that Ordinance No, G-11 should be amended accordingly;
and
WHEREAS, the said Suburban Building Officials Conference
Building Code, March 1964 Edition, entitled "Rules and Regulations
for the Construction, Alteration, Repair and Conversion of Buildings
for Residential Purposes," has been on file with the Village Clerk of
the Village of Oakbrook for more than thirty days, and that three
copies of said publication, as published, have been on file with said
Clerk for said period of tune;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board
of Trustees of the Village of Oakbrook as follows:
Section 1. That that portion of Section VIII of Ordinance
No. G-11 entitled "An Ordinance Establishing Rules and Regulations for
the Construction, Alteration, Repair and Conversion of Buildings within
the Village of Oakbrook, DuPage County, Illinois," passed and approved
by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oakbrook on
the 18th day of February, 19600 reading as follows:
"and the Suburban Building Regulations for Residences,
April 1957 Edition,"
be and the same is hereby stricken and the following be substituted in
lieu thereof:
"Suburban Building Officials Conference Building Code,
_March 1964 Edition, entitled 'Rules and Regulations
for the Construction, Alteration, Repair and
Conversion of Buildings for Residential Purposes."
Section 2. That this ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and publication as by statute in
such cases made and provided.
Passed and approved by the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Oakbrook this— day of �z , 1964,
